Bookoverview ~ September 2016

This month was one of the most unsuccessful reading months I've had this year. - But my birthday also was this month, so I got a lot of books to fill my TBR-shelf again, and autumn is coming, my absolute favourite season.

Review: Deep Secret ~ Diana Wynne Jones

Deep Secret is my second book by Diana Wynne Jones, whose writing style I fell in love with after reading Howl's Moving Castle. - And after reading this one I have to get more from this amazing author.

Reading Language:English
Pages:526
Publisher:Harper Collins
Rating:4.5/5 stars

Blurb:
Magids look after all worlds, steer them towards magic, and keep history happening. But Rupert Venables’ mentor has just died, and as the junior magid on earth he has to find a replacement while also trying to find the lost heir of a collapsing empire, worlds away. Rupert interweaves the fate lines to get all the candidates together at a sci-fi fantasy convention, and havoc ensues as they all converge on a very strange hotel, where everything is always linked, the walls keep moving, people are trying to kill him, and nothing is as it seems…a magical, epic story from the Godmother of fantasy.

Since I changed the design of my Blog a bit, I thought I could also change the design of my overviews, too. The concept will stay the same, but I'll focus some more on the layout and the short information that I'll give you about the books.

Bout of Books Read-a-Thon + Storytime: The "Job Interview"

Today I'll share with you my experience with the Bout of Books Read-a-Thon and how my reading went this week. First of all, I've got to admit, that I didn't read as much as I wanted to. - I wanted to finish The High Lord by Trudi Canavan the day before Bout of Books started. That didn't happen. So I read the last 250 pages I had left on day one. (Review >>) Also I wanted to read the whole The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien, but I only read halfway through book one.

This was about the most unsuccessful week of reading I ever had this year. But I have a quite fun and pretty odd story to tell you:
